Gaming business in Russia features

 Gaming business in Russia - is not only one of the most developing spheres of economy, but also that segment of the market where the competition is especially strong. In conditions of a rigid competition and constant pressure from legislature manufacturers and suppliers of the game equipment are compelled to search for new, more effective ways of development and expansion their business. Exhibition “WORLD of GAMES – 2006” took place!

This year the exhibition was attended by about 5,000 visitors - it’s a little bit less as compared to the previous year. However, the organizers believe that this is just another evidence of the fact that gambling industry development is declining, which is caused by some legislative regulation complexities. The organizers have also noted that many Russian companies have reduced their advertising effort to a minimum, and the increase in the numbers of exhibition participants – up to 152 – was basically explained by proliferation of foreign companies. This year, 53 foreign companies from 25 countries worldwide took part in the exhibition, which is almost twice as much as compared to the previous year when 29 companies from 14 countries were presented. This year, most foreign companies were direct manufacturers. The visitors were shown products from Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Taiwan, USA, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Panama, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Japan, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Latvia. The exposition was accommodated in two halls, and its floor space amounted to 15,550 m² as against 11,000 m² that have been occupied by the exhibition in 2005. Read more....
